Overflade

This rail is made of blued steel. Bluing is a chemical surface treatment that provides a nice, matte black finish and a certain degree of corrosion protection.

Bluing is less resistant than QPQ-treated steel and hard anodized aluminum and therefore requires a little more care. A thin layer of oil after use in damp weather will keep the surface in good condition.

Montering

The rail is mounted on the rifle's receiver or mounting surface with the included screws.

We recommend using a torque wrench during installation. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for torque and threadlocker.

Some rails, especially for rifles with prism or dovetail mounts, may require fine-tuning or adaptation by a gunsmith to be mounted correctly on the rifle. However, this is generally not necessary, and the rail can be mounted without problems.

Recommended mounting torque: 2.7–3.3 Nm

MOA

MOA indicates the rail's incline. A 0 MOA rail is flat and is the natural choice for general hunting and range shooting.

An angled rail can provide more elevation adjustment in the scope when shooting at longer distances. Always use the MOA value specified for the particular variant.

Materiale

This rail is made of steel, which remains the classic choice for both mounts and Picatinny rails. Steel has high rigidity and is extremely durable. The material can withstand repeated mounting and dismounting without deforming the contact surfaces.

Steel is heavier than aluminum, but for a Picatinny rail, the weight difference is practically minimal – typically under 50 grams.
