How to check if the rail fits your rifle

Note: This is the 7075 aluminum version for Sauer 202 STD. Please check the A/B/C measurements on your rifle, as Sauer 202 STD and Sauer 202 MAG do not use the same measurements.

Picatinny rail for Sauer 202 STD in 7075 aluminum

This Picatinny rail is made for the Sauer 202 STD if you want a lightweight aluminum rail instead of the steel version. The rail follows the Sauer 202 STD measurements, but the material and surface treatment differ from the steel version.

Always check the model, fit, and A/B/C measurements before ordering, especially if the rifle comes in multiple versions or has been modified from its original condition.

MOA

This rail can be selected with several MOA inclinations. Choose 0 MOA for neutral mounting, or choose 10 or 20 MOA if optics and shooting distance require extra adjustment range.

Overflade

This rail is hard-anodized (Type III anodization). Hard anodization creates an extremely hard and durable surface layer directly in the aluminum. The surface is actually harder than many types of steel and resists scratches, impacts, and wear from repeated mounting and dismounting.

A hard-anodized aluminum rail is practically maintenance-free and does not corrode – even in humid climates.

Montering

Mounting this rail is quick and easy. The rail is attached directly to the rifle's receiver with the included screws.

Manufacturer's recommendation:

Torque: 3.5 Nm
Apply oil to the screws (NOT threadlocker)
Tighten the screws in a cross pattern for even distribution

A torque wrench is necessary for proper installation. Overtightening can damage the threads in the receiver.

MOA

MOA stands for Minute of Angle and indicates the rail's incline. An angled rail compensates for bullet drop over distance by tilting the scope slightly forward. This gives you more elevation adjustment in the scope's turret – if you need to shoot very long distances.

For most target and hunting scenarios, 0 MOA (flat rail) is more than sufficient. If you are shooting at longer distances or using a scope with limited elevation, 10 or 20 MOA can give you the extra margin you need.

Materiale

This rail is made from 7075-T6 aluminum – the same alloy used in military equipment, aircraft structures, and high-end climbing gear. 7075-T6 has a strength-to-weight ratio almost twice that of steel and is the preferred material for many professional shooters and elite military units.

For the vast majority of hunters and shooters, 7075-T6 aluminum is at least as good as steel. The material is lighter, does not corrode, and will withstand decades of use under normal conditions.
