Picatinny rails for Rössler Titan 6 and Titan 16
The Rössler Titan series is built for hunters who want a modern and flexible rifle. That makes Picatinny a natural mounting solution, as the rail gives freedom to position optics, choose different ring types and work with multiple optic setups on the same system.
Titan 6 and Titan 16
Titan 6 is a classic bolt-action rifle, while the Titan 16 is a straight-pull that allows faster cycling without moving the hand from the stock. Although both carry the Titan name, the locking block and mounting surface should not be assumed to be the same. This is particularly important if the rifle is used with heavy optics or night optics, where an incorrect rail can quickly cause problems.
A Picatinny rail for the Rössler Titan 6 does not necessarily fit the Titan 16. Always check the exact model and A/B/C measurements on your rifle before ordering.
Material: steel or aluminium
For a Rössler hunting rifle, 7075-T6 aluminium is a good choice if you want to keep the rifle light and well balanced. Steel with a QPQ finish is relevant if the rifle is used intensively, if the optics are heavy, or if you frequently mount and dismount equipment. See our guide to steel vs aluminium for Picatinny rails.
MOA slope for longer ranges
For general hunting at short and medium ranges, a rail without slope is usually the most obvious choice. A rail with an MOA slope provides more elevation adjustment in the scope and can be relevant if the rifle is used at longer ranges or for target shooting. See our article on MOA slope on Picatinny rails.
Night optics and flexible setups
Picatinny makes it easier to use the same mounting standard on multiple rifles. It's convenient if you use clip-on, thermal optics or digital night optics. A conventional riflescope should, in principle, be checked and often re-zeroed after being moved, whereas many digital and thermal units can store profiles for multiple rifles.
Mounting
Position the rail so that the holes align precisely with the threaded holes of the locking block. Clean the contact surfaces and threads, use a small amount of suitable threadlocker, and tighten the screws according to the manufacturer's recommendation. See our guide to mounting a Picatinny rail.
