Picatinny rails for Krico 600 and 700

Our rails are precision-milled and fit specific rifle models.

Krico is a German rifle brand, best known for robust bolt-action hunting rifles on the European market. The Krico 600 and 700 are two models you still find in Scandinavian gun safes. They look similar in name, but they should not be treated as the same platform when you choose a Picatinny rail.

We offer Picatinny rails for Krico 600 and Krico 700. Choose based on the exact model, and check the A/B/C measurements on your rifle before ordering.

Picatinny rails for Krico 600 and 700

Krico has for many years had a good reputation among hunters who appreciate compact, accurate and well-built German hunting rifles. Many Krico rifles are older, but still fully usable. A Picatinny rail is a practical way to update the rifle so it can be used with modern rings, low-profile mounts and optics that require more flexible positioning.

Krico 600 and Krico 700

Krico 600 and Krico 700 should be treated as two different models. The 600 series is typically associated with shorter cartridges and a more compact action, while the 700 series is used for longer cartridges. This means that hole spacing and rail fit should not be assumed to be identical, even though the model names are similar.

A Picatinny rail for Krico 600 will not necessarily fit Krico 700. Always check the model designation, action and A/B/C measurements before ordering.

Material: steel or aluminium

For a classic Krico hunting rifle, 7075-T6 aluminium is a good choice if you want to keep the weight down and preserve the rifle’s light handling. Steel with QPQ treatment is relevant if the rifle carries heavy optics, or if the mount is exposed to heavy use. See our guide to steel vs aluminium for Picatinny rails.

Night optics and flexible setups

Picatinny makes it easier to use the same type of mount on multiple rifles. This is especially practical if an older Krico is to be used with clip-on, thermal optics or digital night-vision devices. A standard riflescope should as a rule be checked and often re-zeroed after relocation, while many digital units can save profiles for several rifles.

Mounting

Older Krico rifles may have been fitted with different bases over the years. Therefore clean the contact surfaces and threads, check that the holes align, use a small amount of suitable threadlocker, and tighten the screws according to the manufacturer's recommendation. See our guide to mounting a Picatinny rail.
